Bee-Bot

Step by Step on how to use Bee-Bot

The functions/commands of the buttons:

Press the up arrow to make Bee-Bot move forward.

Press the down arrow to make Bee-Bot move backward.

Press the left arrow to make the Bee-Bot turn left.

Press the right arrow to make the Bee-Bot turn right.

Press the "GO" button to make the Bee-Bot move.

Press the "||" button to make the Bee-Bot pause.

Press "X" button to clear commands.




Turn Bee-Bot and sound on or off:

Turn Bee-Bot on/off by turning it upside down on its belly and switching it to on/off.

Turn sound on/off by turning it upside down its belly and switch it to on/off. (You decide)

Coding/Programming Bee-Bot:

1. Turn Bee-Bot on.

2. Set Bee-bot on the floor or Bee-Bot mat.

3. Press the up arrow 3 times then "GO" button to make Bee-Bot move 3 steps forward.

4. Press the "X" button to erase the previous command of moving 3 steps forwards and have it start a new command.

5. Press the down arrow 2 times then "GO" button to make Bee-Bot move 2 steps backward.

6. Press the "X" button to erase the previous command of moving 2 steps backward and have it start a new common.

7. Press the right arrow then"GO" button to make the Bee-Bot turn right.

8. Press the "X" button to erase the previous command of turning right and have it start a new common.

9. Press the left arrow then"GO" button to make the Bee-Bot turn left.

10.Press the "X" button to erase the previous command of turning left and have it start a new command.

11. Press the "||" button when you want Bee-Bot to stop the command and then press "||" to continue the command.


Let's Code/program Bee-Bot:

(Make sure Bee-bot is on and you will use the shoots and ladders picture above)

Goal: Bee-Bot moves from point A-numeral 1 to point B-numeral 30 using all the commands except pause back to back with only pressing "GO" once.

->Set Bee-Bot on numeral 1 facing right toward numeral 2.

1. Press the "X" button to clear any prior commands.

2. Press the forward (up) arrow button 2 times, press the left arrow 1 time, press forward (up) arrow 3 times, press the right arrow 1 time, press the forward (up) arrow 2 times, press the left arrow 1 time, press the forward (up) arrow 1 time, press the right arrow 1 time, press the backwards (down) arrow 1 time, press the forward (up) 2 times and lastly press the "GO" button.

3. Yea! Mission complet, Bee-bot got to numeral 30.  

Assessment:
(use the shoots and ladders pictured above)
Create your own code to get Bee-Bot to responde to your commands, where is Bee-Bot starting from (point A) and where will he stop/finish (point B). Use all 4 directional commands. It can start on numeral 1 or 30 and can stop/finish at any numeral. Give your starting point and commands.
